Project Overview

Passing the Gavel: Next Generation of Changemakers Installed at St. Joseph

The Rotaract Club of Hurlingham officially hosted and celebrated the installation of President Lewis Gichuru and his 2026/2027 Board of Directors for the Interact Club of St. Joseph the Worker Secondary School in Mang'u.

This foundational event formally marked the new club term, celebrating leadership transition, youthful service, and sustainable community empowerment. The installation ceremony was gracefully officiated by Past President (PP) Celine Wanjiru, with significant organizing and coordination led by Rtr. Linet Muthoni to ensure the entire program was a success.

Core Focus Areas for the New Term

The newly formed Interact board stepped into their roles with a defined vision focused on:

* Leadership Development: Providing student council members and directors with structural tools for school-wide leadership.

* Community First Projects: Planning continuous localized service initiatives following the success of past health and mentorship programs.

* Rotary-Interact Mentorship: Building closer structural bonds with the parent sponsoring body at the Rotaract Club of Hurlingham.

Inspired and Impact-Bound

The day concluded with smiles, strategic planning sessions, and collaborative group discussions. The Rotaract Club of Hurlingham extends its gratitude to everyone who attended, supported, and celebrated this milestone. Under President Lewis's guidance, the next generation of leadership at St. Joseph the Worker is well-positioned to create a lasting community impact.
